William Archer Norris

September 20, 2021 — July 30, 2025

Funeral Service for William “Archer” Norris, age 3, of Crossville, TN will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM with burial to follow at Pomona Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service.

In the words of his momma, “Archer was a rough and tough little boy who was always dirty and always happy.” His favorite things included playing with his big brother and being outside with his daddy. He was always so proud to tell people, “I’m helping daddy work!” while he hammered away on everything in sight. He was full of life and lovingly described as "rambunctious." Whether he was rough-housing or showing affection, he jumped to everyone with complete confidence that they would catch him, and he did it with full-force. Just last week, his Aunt Lexi and Grandma Sweets were at the waterpark with the kids when they heard Archie yell, “Cannonball!” They turned in time to see him splash into one foot of water without a second thought. That same care-free, rough and tough spirit came out every time he went to swim at his Nano’s house. Showing out for his cousins, he would bail off the dock and come splashing to the surface over and over again, laughing the whole way. That was how Archer played, how he lived his life. Everything he did, he did wide-open.

As rambunctious as he was, Archer was also a profoundly loving and happy little boy. He always said things like, “Sweets, I’m super fast, super strong and super smart!” He had a laugh that shook his entire little body– a true belly laugh– and he loved to make others laugh too. Without question, he was the comedian of the bunch. It was hard not to laugh when Archer’s personality and laughter filled a room. At just three years old, Archer also had a gift for making people feel special. He was extra-loving and went to anyone who was willing to love on him in return. His Grandma Lisa said Archer “always wanted to make people happy– and he always did!” He picked flowers for his mom everywhere he went, and he would dress up, saying he wanted to be “beautiful like mommy.” From the moment he walked into his Aunt Kacey’s house, he asked where his Max was, and he had a particular attachment to his Jimmie Mae. Archer was so full of love, he had a genuine and special bond with each and every one of his family members, from great-grandparents to cousins. Throughout this time of loss, every person in his life has shared story after story about how Archer was both full of love and fully loved. The beautiful stories of his life are far too great in number to list, but through those stories, Archer’s memory will always live on in the hearts and minds of his family and friends. Truly, to know little “Archie” was to love him.

He leaves behind his dad, Tyler, his mom, Mercedes, and his big brother, Ace. In lieu of flowers, Archer’s family asks for donations to be made to the Middle Tennessee Jr. Rodeo or Shepherd's Little Flock daycare.
