In Loving Memory of William Sedric Justice Sr.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William Sedric Justice Sr. on July 21, 2026.
William was a devoted husband, loving father, proud Pawpaw, brother, uncle, and loyal friend. For 36 wonderful years, he was the beloved husband and best friend of his wife, Tawnia. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, unwavering commitment, and countless treasured memories. To know William was to know kindness, strength, and a heart that always put others first. He was a steady presence for his family, offering encouragement, wisdom, and unconditional love. His greatest joy was his family—whether spending time with his children, spoiling his grandchildren, or simply being surrounded by those he loved.
William’s legacy is one of love, compassion, and selflessness. He touched countless lives through his gentle spirit, warm smile, and willingness to help anyone in need. While his absence leaves an unimaginable void, the love he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Tawnia Justice; his son, William Justice Jr.; his daughter, Ashley Moore, and son-in-law, Jon Moore; and his cherished grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, and Garrett. He is also survived by his sisters, Joy Hunsucker and Charlotte Findley; his brother, Charles Justice Jr.; his uncle, Robert Jones; his parents-in-law, Carl and Teresa Platt; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Sedric Jones; his grandmother, Mary Jones; his father, Charles Justice Sr.; his mother, Bessie Justice; and his sisters, Ethel Baird and Tammy Stepp.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Bilbrey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, with burial to follow at City Cemetery.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that William is no longer suffering and is now at peace. His love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family will continue to guide us. His memory will forever be cherished, and his life will remain a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
