Thomas Olon Barron

Thomas Olon Barron, age 91, of Pleasant Hill, TN, passed away at Uplands Village on July 21, 2025.

Mr. Barron was born on May 27, 1934, in Forest, LA, son of the late Archie Thomas Barron and Alma Ancibell (Sanderson) Barron.

Thomas and his wife Hazel were Baptist Missionaries in Indonesia and India for 30 years. As he was training for the pastorate he served in the Army for a two year enlistment period between 1957 and 1959.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel C. Barron; son, Tom Barron, Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Taylor; brother, Allen Barron.

In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his brothers, Lonnie Barron, and James Barron; and a sister who died in infancy.

Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 3:00 PM with burial to follow at Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 Prior to the service.
