Ronald “Ronny” Reid Guthrie, age 85, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025. He was born on June 10, 1940, in Benton, Tennessee, to the late Glen and Edna Guthrie.
Ronny was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life was marked by faith, hard work, and service to others. He was a member of Stevens Gap Church of Christ, where he faithfully served as an elder for over forty years.
Professionally, Ronny dedicated his career to Wholesale Supply Group, where he served as Operations Manager and later as Vice President before his retirement in 2006. His leadership and vision were instrumental in the company’s expansion to more than 30 stores across the Southeast.
Ronny found great joy in gardening, farming, and caring for his pets. He loved spending time with his family and never met a stranger—always ready to share a story, lend a helping hand, or visit someone in need. His kindness and steady presence touched countless lives.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patti Goodwin Guthrie; sons Scott (Pam) Guthrie of Lynnville, Tennessee, and Patrick Guthrie of Crossville, Tennessee; daughters Jill (Michael) McAnally of Crossville, Tennessee, and Susan (Yancy) Belcher of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; brother Rush (Sondra) Guthrie of Riceville, Tennessee; brothers-in-law Steve (Elaine) Goodwin of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Stan (Brenda) Goodwin of Spring Hill, Tennessee; grandchildren Caroline Oakes, Reid Guthrie, Robby Guthrie, Ryne Gipson, Katie Ware, Atticus Belcher, Iris Belcher, Taylor Guthrie, and Brookes McAnally; and great-grandchildren Till Oakes, Lorali Oakes, and Harper Gipson.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Ann Guthrie Martin and Mary Wattenbarger.
Ronny’s legacy of faith, generosity, and love for family will continue to inspire all who knew him.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” — 2 Timothy 4:7–8
