Richard Thomas Gadwell

Richard Thomas Gadwell, age 82, of Crossville, TN, passed away at Cumberland House on January 11, 2026.

Mr. Gadwell was born on August 31, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Frank T. Gadwell and Anna Marie (Cichowicz) Gadwell.

Richard was a superintendent for GM. He was also a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Gadwell; sons, Daniel Gadwell (Marian) and Richard Gadwell (Gina); daughter, Katherine Gadwell Bond (Rodney) and Tina Daniels Geldmacher (Doug); stepson, Raymond Wood Mancy Jr. (Sherry); stepdaughter, Kimberly Brandana; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and brother, Robert Gadwell.

In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his first wife, Nita Ann (DeVaul) Gadwell; and brothers, Lawrence and Eugene Gadwell.

Visitation will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Crossville, TN on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Crossville, TN, on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

Visitation will also be held at John Molnar Funeral Home in Brownstown, MI on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 9:00 to 1:30 PM followed by burial at Our Lady of Home Catholic Cemetery.
