Oscar Eugene Hayes

Oscar Eugene Hayes, age 96, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on June 21, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital in Knoxville.

Mr. Hayes was born on June 5, 1930, in Crossville, Tennessee, son of the late Dan Hayes and Lydia (Kurley) Hayes.

Oscar worked as a foundry worker.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Hayes (Sharon) and Jerry Hayes; grandchildren, Jeremiah Covey, Dennis Covey, Jerry Hayes Jr., and Eric Hayes; along with 8 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Hayes; children, James Hayes and Nancy Hayes; granddaughter, Brandy Hayes; siblings, Joyce Brady, Eula Hayes, and Shelma Hayes.

Graveside services will be held at Hayes-Kerley Cemetery on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM. The family will greet friends from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the graveside prior to the service.
