Lois Evelyn (Elmore) Penrod

Lois Evelyn (Elmore) Penrod, age 95, of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away on April 21, 2026 at Maristone of Providence in Mt. Juliet, TN.

Mrs. Penrod was born on September 28, 1930, in Barberton, OH, daughter of the late Andy Miller and Winnie Miller Wolfe.

Lois was a kindergarten teacher and faithfully served alongside her husband as a pastor's wife for 40 years. She was one of the Lord's most devoted, loving and faithful servants.

She is survived by her son-in-law, John Furgess, Jr.; grandchildren, Amy Brown (Kenneth), Catherine Wince (Jeremy), Mary Catherine (Jason), and Melissa Springs (Raylan); fourteen great grandchildren, Brandon Brown, Andrew Brown, Will Brown, Christopher Brown, Zachary Brown, Ethan Wince, Allison Wince, Sarah Grace Conrad, Lillian Conrad, Patrick Conrad, Kayla Springs, Megan Springs, Kameron Springs, and Maddie Springs; great-great granddaughter, Charlie Anne Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her first husband, Tommy Elmore; second husband, Aquila Penrod; daughters, Alma Furgess and Susan Moore; and five sisters.

Funeral Service will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 3:00 PM. Burial to follow at Pomona Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service. The pallbearers will include her 8 great grandsons.
