Linda Lucille Elliott

Linda Lucille Elliott, 73, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on September 22, 2026, surrounded by those who loved her.

Born on December 23, 1952, in Crossville, Linda was the daughter of Dallas S. Taylor and Lucille K. (Kerley) Taylor. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Tennessee Tech University and went on to serve Cumberland County Schools with dedication and quiet strength for more than 30 years. As a second- and third‑grade teacher, Linda shaped countless young lives with patience, steadiness, and a deep commitment to her students.

Linda was a private, gentle soul who found joy in life’s quieter moments. She loved dogs, delighted in watching birds — especially hummingbirds — and enjoyed peaceful car rides through the familiar backroads of Tennessee.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dudley Elliott; her siblings, Sharon Davidson, Patricia Taylor, John (Peggy) Taylor, and Ernest (Molly) Taylor; her sister‑in‑law, Linda Taylor; and many nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Ruth Dyer, Louise Woodall, Doris Taylor, Betty Carol Taylor, Dallas E. Taylor, Thomas “Tom” Taylor, Brenda Taylor, and Thomas David Taylor.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be announced at a later date.
