Judith Kay Cole

Judith Kay Cole, aged 77, of Crossville, TN, passed away on September 25, 2026 due to continued failing health. She fought a long hard battle to the very end.

Judi was born on October 11, 1948 to Harry and Catherine (Erickson) Pickard in Kalamazoo, Michigan and raised in Grand Rapids with her younger sister and two brothers.

She attended Immaculate Heart of Mary and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 1966. She later attended Aquinas College, majoring in Communication.

She married her husband, Randy, in 1968 and raised the sunshine of her life, her children, Stephen and Katie of Monroe, Ohio.

Judi lived in Kentwood for over 45 years and was active with the schools, ultimately serving a term as President, East Kentwood Academic Boosters.

Her career years were spent in the medical profession, notedly working as office manager in a neurology practice where she most enjoyed coaching and helping patients suffering declining health. She was also an advocate for patients rights and benefits and loved learning about the future of medicine.

In retirement, she enjoyed time with her friends in Key West and Miramar Beach, FL, sharing many happy times and sipping a martini now and then. She enjoyed reading, knitting and cooking delicious meals, especially her world famous spaghetti sauce.

Judi is survived by her husband; children; brother, Tomas Pickard of Grand Rapids and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Mary Ann Pickard; and brother, David John Pickard. She was also predeceased by her loving and faithful furry daughter, Alia.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
