Jerry Andrew Mailhiot, Sr.

Jerry Mailhiot Sr. of Crossville, Tennessee was taken too soon on June 28th, 2024, at the age of 67, but his love for all things with a motor and trademark sarcasm will not be forgotten. He was born on May 28th, 1957, to the late Gerard & Georgette Mailhiot in Willimantic, CT. After graduating from Windham Tech, he began his career as an auto mechanic. Enlisting in the United States Army from 1977-1980. Eventually retiring from the Town of Mansfield. Jerry is survived by his two children from a previous marriage, Jerry Mailhiot Jr. and Jennifer Mailhiot. On June 15th, 2013, Jerry married Marianne also from Connecticut and blended their families to include her children Susan, Shawn and Scott Lonardelli. In 2014 the couple moved to Crossville, TN. Their family grew to include two rescue dogs, Fred and Pebbles. Jerry Mailhiot Sr. was preceded to heaven by his brother, Bobby Mailhiot; and sister Rita Despard. He is survived by his sisters, Bea Delorme, Lucille Gaudreau, Diane Smith; brothers-in-law, Rick, Harry, and Eddy, whom he called brothers; nephew, Keith and niece Kelly, whom he called son and daughter; grandchildren, Nico and Zane Lonardell; many nieces and nephews, and friends he called "garage bros". On June 28th at 5:20am Jerry blared his train horn announcing to the neighborhood he was leaving CT to head for home to Crossville, TN. Driving the "Hog Hauler", pulling the camper with his Harley inside in Roanoke, VA, God held him in His arms and said, "come home my faithful servant".
