James David McClure

James David McClure, age 85, of Crossville, TN, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at Cumberland Medical Center.

Jim was born on August 14th, 1941, in Freelandville, Indiana, son of the late James Thomas McClure and Barbara Louise (Pepmeier) McClure.

Jim attended Rose Poly Technical Institute where he was a member of Theta Xi fraternity. He obtained a B.A. in pre-law from Indiana State University. He then worked in the automotive industry at Arvin Industries for 30 years, and retired to Fairfield Glade, TN.

Jim was a loving husband, supportive father, and an adoring grandfather who enjoyed his three grandchildren.

He enjoyed a good round of golf, the Florida sunshine, and Euchre with friends. He was an avid car enthusiast, and a devoted fan of the Indiana Hoosiers and Dodger baseball. He was noted for his quick wit and his lively sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Judy McClure; children, Mitch McClure (Martha), Michael McClure (Emma), and Mari McClure (Amanda); grandchildren, Ava, Aiden, and Millie; and sister, Becky Brockman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Terry McClure.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Francis at a later date. To be announced.
