James Richard Buxton

James Richard Buxton, 90, of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Cumberland Medical Center.

Mr. Buxton was born October 2, 1935, in Anderson, Indiana, son of the late Stanley Gerald Buxton and Mayme (Stephens) Buxton.

Jim was an active member of Fairfield Glade Community Church, and enjoyed volunteering, working on cars, sailing, and woodworking.

Jim is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary Jane, his son, Keith Wesley Buxton, his daughter, Cynthia Jane (Michael) Skowronski, and his granddaughter, Emily Jane Skowronski.

A memorial service will be held at Fairfield Glade Community Church on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM, with Reverend Toni McSorley officiating.
