Hayward Gerald Lawson, Jr.

Hayward Gerald Lawson, Jr., age 67, of Crossville, TN, passed away on January 16, 2023. Mr. Lawson was born on January 21, 1955, in Kokomo, IN, son of the late Hayward Gerald Lawson, Sr. and Sarah "Martha” (Greenwood) Gump. Hayward worked as a Management Engineer in the U.S. Civil Service. He was also a Pastor and veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Cathy Lawson; daughter, Sara Weaver (Andy); son, Andrew Lawson (Lindsay); 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; brothers, Dino Lawson and Cary Lawson; and sisters, Sherry Rogers, Ranzella Gump, and Penny Ford. In addition to his parents, Hayward is preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Catherine Wagner; sister, Louchelle Rabbits; brothers, Joe Phillips and Bryan Gump; stepfather, John Gump; and stepmother, Ollie Lawson. Funeral Service will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM with Pastor Andy Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Arrangements and Care provided by Bilbrey Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
