Gwendolyn Pearl Thompson-Lester

Gwendolyn Thompson-Lester, age 86, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away on December 20, 2025, at Cumberland Medical Center.

Mrs. Lester was born on September 7, 1939, in Maryland, daughter of the late Ernest Horner and Helen (Meredith) Horner.

Gwendolyn worked as a secretary. She was a devoted friend, wife, mother, and aunt, who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her two sons, Raymond E Champ and Robert E Thompson, her daughters-in-law, Deborah Champ and Renee Thompson, and her grandchildren, Sydney, Taylor, Madison and Raymond Champ and Robert J Thompson. She is also survived by her nephew, Tom and nieces, Diane, Margie, and Kathy.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Louis Lester, as well as her brothers, Ernest and Zane, and her sister-in-law Dot.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Bilbrey Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, prior to the service.
