George C. Spoerer

Graveside Services for Mr. George Carl Spoerer, of Crossville, Tennessee, who passed away on December 24, 2023, will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Pomona Cemetery. George was born on September 15, 1925, to Mr. and Mrs. Otto Spoerer of Corona, New York. He graduated from Montana State University in 1950 with a degree in Animal Husbandry and a Fellowship from Utah State. George served in the United States Army during World War II and then worked for IBM for 35 years in Poughkeepsie, New York and Essex Junction, Vermont. He was married to Genevieve Otto in the First Baptist Church of Poughkeepsie, New York, in October of 1955. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve (Otto) Spoerer; nieces, Bernadette Barker of Schenectady, New York and Celeste Watman of Otis, Massachusetts. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Herbert and Carl.
