Elsa H. Green

Elsa H. Green, age 95, of Crossville, TN, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, at University of Tennessee Medical Center.

Mrs. Green was born on January 29, 1930, in Pontiac, Mi, daughter of Sigurd T. Olsen and Emilie O. Olsen.

She enjoyed a long and dedicated 35-year career as an Executive Secretary with General Motors before retiring in 1986. In retirement, she embraced her love of golf, joining three leagues, and remained an active member of the Sons of Norway. She delighted in playing cards, traveling, and attending professional golf tournaments. She and her husband, Jim, made their home in Fairfield Glade for the past 29 years, where they built a life filled with friendship, community, and adventure.

Mrs. Green took pride in her great grandson, David Gauthier, formally in the marines, now working for the US government in Europe.

Mrs. Green is survived by her husband of 53 years, James W Green; daughter, Mona D. Gauthier (Ron Grundberg); stepdaughter, Stacy Fields (Tom); granddaughter, Lori Wilcox; step granddaughter, Ashley Fields; great grandsons, Michael, Jordan, Dustin, David and Hunter; nieces, Cindy Slade (John) of Texas and Ellie Gardnier of Michigan.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond A. Olsen and Fred Olsen; and grandson, Michael D. Gauthier; and special friends, Jim and Paige Cavalier of Dallas, TX.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.
