Dara Jeanine Bise

Dara Jeanine (Hedrick) Bise passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, at the age of 79, at home in Crossville, TN, surrounded by her family.

Dara was born on January 10, 1947, in Charleston, WV to Imogene (Childers) and Ira Hedrick. She grew up in Nitro, WV, and then went on to graduate from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. For many years, Dara worked as a Bookkeeper and Office Manager.

With her husband of 54 years, Dr. Stanley Bise, Dara won the 1989 Business and Professional Women’s Organization of Cumberland County Employer of the Year. They were also long-time supporters and sponsors at the Cumberland County Playhouse. Dara loved traveling and playing cards with her family.

Dara was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her two children, Erin and Justin Bise, by her two brothers Bruce (Shelia) Hedrick and Steve (Christine) Hedrick, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Bilbrey’s Funeral Home on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 pm. A private inurnment will be held at Crossville City Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to The Cumberland County Playhouse.
