Carol Joyce Griffin

Carol Joyce Griffin, age 81, of Crossville, Tennessee, passed away at her home on June 18, 2023.

Mrs. Griffin was born on March 12, 1942, in Zion, Illinois, daughter of the late Orville Hawkins and Blanche Marie (English) Hawkins.

Carol worked as a housekeeper and was of the Methodist Faith.

She is survived by her brother, Donald Hawkins; sons, Steven John Gilpin (Laura) and William Jackson Akins, Jr. (Pennie); daughter, Cynthia Marie Livesay (Mike); 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and stepchildren, Scott Griffin (Jane) and Jeff Griffin.

In addition to her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Luther Griffin; and son, Scott James Akins.

Funeral Service will be held at Bilbrey Funeral Home on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 5:00 PM with Pastor Mark Bass officiating. Burial will follow at Pomona Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM prior to the service.
